Description

First put some Seramis clay granules (approx. 2cm) in a pot (glass) as drainage. Continue to fill with special substrate until the orchid can be inserted at the right height. She was mentioned by William Shakespeare in Act 2 Scene 1 of Titus Andronicus and Scene 2 of the Induction in The Taming of the Shrew. Portrayal of Semiramis has been used as a metaphor for female rulership. Sometimes she is referenced during political disputes regarding rule by women, both as an unfavorable comparison (for example, against Elizabeth I of England) and as an example of a woman who governed well. [32] Powerful female monarchs Margaret I of Denmark and Catherine the Great were given the designation Semiramis of the North. [37] [38] It does not need to be systematically updated, since all its nutritional properties are not lost during operation. Instructions for use: to be used as a growing medium, also to be used as structural material and a carrier substance; designed to improve the absorption and retention capacity of water and nutrients.

Prepare nail scissors or garden pruners sterilized in alcohol, Seramis substrate, disinfectants for sections (alcohol-free preparations or activated charcoal are suitable), a plastic container larger than the previous pot, and a moisture indicator. During the time between Babel and Christ, pagans developed the belief that the days grew shorter in early winter because their sun-god was leaving them. When they saw the length of the day increasing, they celebrated by riotous, unrestrained feasting and orgies. This celebration, known as Saturnalia, was named after Saturn, another name for Nimrod. According to the representatives of the Seramis company themselves, the complex is suitable for all types of orchids, although according to the personal experience of some flower growers, this is not entirely true. In their opinion, it is preferable to use a mixture for phalaenopsis. Many florists have managed to grow Cattleya, Wanda, Dendrobium, Miltonia orchids using this product. Gently lower the dried roots with a flower into a new pot, filling the entire container with the Seramis mixture. Do not cover aerial roots. This substrate for orchids is a mix of specially produced larger clay grains, high quality pine bark and trace elements. The loose and open structure ensures optimal ventilation of the sensitive roots and the best water balance. This reliably prevents waterlogging and root rot. An additional source of calcium promotes healthy growth.

Place the orchid in the pot with a slight twisting movement and now fill up with the special substrate. Thus the ancient idolatrous "Chaldean Mysteries," founded by this wife of Nimrod, have been handed down through the pagan religions under new Christian-sounding names.

Frassoni, Edilio (1980). "Imperatrice di molte favelle". In Ufficio Stampa dell'E.A. (ed.). L'Opera di Genova. Stagione Lirica 1980–81. Teatro Margherita (in Italian). E.A. Teatro Comunale dell'Opera di Genova. p. 101: "Il lungo cammino di Semiramide nel melodramma". Professor Frassoni lists 77 settings of the story of Semiramis, from Antonio Cesti’s La Semirami (Vienna, 1662), to Costantino Dall’Argine's ballet La Semiramide del Nord (Milan, La Scala, 1869). To be precise, the list also contains 5 pasticcios. 3 ballets and 6 works by unknown authors, but does not include subsequent revisions and rewrites by the same composer. It does not claim to be exhaustive: for instance, just referring to the 20th century, Ottorino Respighi’s tragic poem Semirâma (Bologna, 1910) and Arthur Honegger’s ballet-melodrama Sémiramis mentioned below, are not included. Legends describing Semiramis have been recorded by approximately 80 ancient writers including Plutarch, Eusebius, Polyaenus, Valerius Maximus, Orosius, and Justinus. [24] She was associated with Ishtar and Astarte since the time before Diodorus. [12] The association of the fish and dove is found at Hierapolis Bambyce ( Mabbog, now Manbij), the great temple that according to one legend, was founded by Semiramis, [25] where her statue was shown with a golden dove on her head. a b Louis A. Boettiger (1918). "2". Studies in the Social Sciences: Armenian Legends and Festivals. Vol.14. The University of Minnesota. pp.10–11. Nimrod, grandson of Ham, son of Noah, was the real founder of the Babylonish system that has gripped the world ever since—the system of organized competition—of man-ruled governments and empires, based upon the competitive and profit-making economic system. Nimrod built the Tower of Babel, the original Babylon, ancient Nineveh, many other cities. He organized the world's first kingdom. The name Nimrod, in Hebrew, is derived from "Marad," meaning "he rebelled." Armenians and the Assyrians of Iraq, northeast Syria, southeast Turkey, and northwest Iran still use Shamiram as a given name for girls. [10] After Nimrod's death (c. 2167 BC), Semiramis promoted the belief that he was a god. She claimed that she saw a full-grown evergreen tree spring out of the roots of a dead tree stump, symbolizing the springing forth of new life for Nimrod. On the anniversary of his birth, she said, Nimrod would visit the evergreen tree and leave gifts under it. His birthday fell on the winter solstice at the end of December.

Seramis clay granulate can be used as an alternative to soil and coco when hand-watering. It can also be used as an alternative to regular clay pebbles or coco in a hydroponic system. It can be added to soil to improve drainage and reduce clumping. Seramis clay granules can also be used to top-dress soil or coco to reduce evaporation. The cat litter isn't Seramis but it does a reasonable job. The grain size is a lot smaller than Seramis and I prefer Seramis myself, but as you say you just can't find it in garden centres any more. I used to root Auricula cuttings in Seramis and the root systems produced were impressive. I think that was due to the fact that air could get in between the particles and probably inside them too. Roots like a combination of water and air. The perfect drainage coupled with moisture retention also helps of course. I now use cat litter, which is a lot cheaper than Seramis as I recall. However, if you can get Seramis it can be recycled many times. The Westerwald clay used for Seramis is actually a type of Fuller's Earth, so an even closer match would be other fired Fuller's Earth granules, although I'm not aware of particular brands for sale in the UK. They are very common in the US where Seramis isn't, or didn't used to be, available. Creighton M.A. L.L.D., Rev. Mandell (1888). The Historical Review. Vol.3.
