Description

The rather young company Cryorig has quickly become known for its efficient and above all innovative products in the field of CPU cooling. And last but not least, the guys from Cryorig added a 41st fin, which is much thicker, made of plastic and is entirely in black located on top of the fins stack, including the company logo in the middle. Thanks to its outstanding performance and efficiency, the CPU tower cooler Cryorig H7 is suitable for processors with a 140 Watt TDP (Thermal Design Power). Besides adding the CAM powered RGB system, with the H7 Quad Lumi CRYORIG has added one additional high performance heatpipe as well as increased support enthusiast grade Intel LGA 2011v3. With taking the cooler in my hand for first time I spent some time enjoying the cooler’s structure and according to what I saw the cooler is designed with all of the features included in the big brothers in the company portfolio and that includes the Hive Fin structure, Jet Fin Acceleration System and asymmetrical fins stack combined with Quad Air Inlet provided by the fan.

The operation of the fans is done by a 4-pin PWM powered and regulated CRYORIG’s HPLN bearing to deliver stable and precise rotation eliminating excess vibration and noise. With a few years of abusing computer parts, he decided to take his chances and try to get a review job. With solid material choices of copper, nickel-plating, and aluminum, the H7 Quad Lumi is not a whole lot of difference from other heatsinks. On the front panel of the package we can find a big picture of the cooler itself accompanied by a glimpse of explanation about the product, while the full technical specification can be located on the back side of the box.It is also a modestly-sized cooler, measuring just 145mm tall and 98mm long (front to back), including the fan. The cooler itself is with overall dimensions of 123(W) x 145(H) x 126(D) mm and overall weight of 845 g including the two fans. All-in-all, the process is simple because there are so few steps to complete, but the hardest thing is tightening the screws while holding the cooler in-place.

At the same time, Cryorig attaches great importance to keeping the installation of its CPU coolers as simple as possible. While the cooler is 123mm in width, and 98mm deep with the fan attached, Cryorig kept this tower limited to only 145mm, so it will fit into more systems than the average 120mm fan cooled towers. The installation guide takes you through all the steps needed to mount the H7 to any compatible motherboard. With the asymmetrical and inclined arrangement of the heatpipes, the heat sink is offset in such a way that it does not protrude over the RAM modules. The fan is simply not audible when the system is idling, while under load, the noise is far from intrusive. And last but not least, all of the pipes are hidden beneath black plastic caps to further improve the appearance of the cooler. If you register your product with Cryorig, you can extend the manufacturer's warranty from three to six years. While the options are there in the back plate for other Intel spacing, the X-bar will only align with the holes we have used, and the four AMD holes at the corners of the center section. Installation is straightforward, though at one point you do have to hold the cooler in-place upside-down while tightening the four screws. The team of experienced radiator and OC experts rely on high-quality materials and innovative combinations of individual components to get the most out of air coolers.

Thankfully, we are not seeing rainbow lights all over the place, as the lights are in strategic locations to offer some pop without being blinding. The standard accessories pack is actually not very big but I should say very smartly made and that is because for all of the sockets from both Intel and AMD, the same back plate, bolts, tubes and front brackets are used. As if that weren't enough, the Cryorig H7, which takes its name from the Hive Fin arrangement, still has more to offer. There is usually an option to add more heat pipes, or you could figure out how to use larger ones in some way, or even a vapor chamber if you are so inclined. With the H7 Plus CPU cooler, Cryorig relies on three 6mm thick heatpipes that connect the nickel plated copper bottom plate to the heatsink tower. The H7 Quad Lumi features CRYORIG’s Zero Interference design, that keeps the full heatsink+fan compactly inside the CPU Keep Out Zone and away from the RAM slots. The next step is slightly unconventional as the cooler gets secured to the motherboard by tightening the screws on the underside of the motherboard. With the CPU cooler H7, Cryorig relies on three 6mm thick heatpipes that connect the nickel- plated copper base plate to the tower of the heat sink.
