About this deal

A long pram too, means that although Alexander is a tall 19 month old, he will have at least another year and a half of pram time with the Ooba. Cosatto are without doubt one of the THE movers and shakers in the pushchair arena right now. The Ooba is yet another product that combines sensible pushchair design with on trend colours and materials to produce a very desirable product. Why do I need a new mattress? At Baby Birds we recommend new baby, new mattress’ there has been many researches on babies and their sleeping environment.

The harness is 5 point with crotch and chest protectors. It is simple to adjust and you can do it up one side at a time, one handed, which is great when trying to deal with a reluctant child. There are 2 positions for the shoulder straps which can be altered via the rear zipped access panel. The Cosatto Ooba Travel Systemis suitable from birth, and features new multi-terrain wheels and a lightweight aluminium chassis.

The safest place for a baby to sleep is in their own cot, moses basket or crib in the same room as you. I love the leatherette handle which gives comfort whilst pushing it and the brake on the handle makes it super easy to put on and off. Putting it up and down is a little bit of a fuss as you have to take the seat unit off but to be honest, I’m not planning on putting it down much so this doesn’t affect me. It also comes with a removable apron and a carry handle built into the hood to make it easy for transportation. The liner is removable and washable for easy laundering. When you baby reaches 6 months of age, transform the travel system into a pushchair with the seat unit, which can be either inward or outward facing, and boasts a multi-position recline and leg rest for comfortable travelling. The Cosatto Ooba comes complete with a carrycot that is suitable for occasional overnight sleeping. It weighs 3.6kg. On initial inspection it looks quite shallow. Passing a tape measure across shows it to be plenty deep enough though at 15cm. It is 74cm long and 32cm wide which is actually a very good size. The hood is attached to the handle which comes up to 90 degrees. At the top of the handle there is a foam ‘grip’ making lifting a little more comfortable.

The 5 point safety harness provides additional safety. The Ooba Travel System is perfect for all weather conditions thanks to its UPF 50+ sunshade protection hood and raincover with zip. I really am glad that I have been given this chance of working with Cosatto and reviewing theCosatto Ooba 3-in-1 Travel System as I have fallen head over heels in love with it and I adore getting to go out and push Joseph about in the pram. The Ooba also comes with a matching nappy bag which fits into the generous basket underneath the buggy, along with your toddler if you so wish (this probably isn’t recommended. Probably). When Alexander finally awoke, he and Oliver had a little run around the gardens together and were fascinated by the Tour de France sculptures! The bumper bar is gate opening and fully removable. It comes covered in a contrasting faux half-leather (not shown) and can be zipped off for cleaning – nice touch...

So when Cosatto got in touch a couple of months ago to ask if I’d want to sample their new model, the Ooba, I was a little hesitant. Could it improve on what were my two totally adequate prams? Turned out that yes, yes it absolutely could. The all-round suspension on the chassis provides a comfortable ride for baby and parent and the flip-over handlebar allows you to navigate over rough terrain with ease. Position your baby at the foot end of the crib so baby’s feet are at the bottom of the sleeping area. That way your baby cannot slip under the covers. I’ve never been one of those mums, you know, who are really in to their prams. I’ve go a couple of friends who go through a different pram every six months but for me it’s never been that important ( changing bags, on the other hand…). I had my Bugaboo Bee+ for Elfie and when Hux arrive the fleet expanded by a double Phil + Teds. I’ve always been pretty happy with these two, they get the job done without any fuss – what more could we want? Organic – the definition of organic in this case means that the mattress is produced or any aspect of production without the use of chemical fertilisers, pesticides, or other artificial chemicals.

Advice & Inspiration

The day it arrived I was pretty excited. It matched my carpet! Look at that print! The beautiful blues! You can’t deny this is one good looking pram. I set about unboxing and building it, something I managed on my own and with minimal fuss (score one Ooba, the Bugaboo was not this easy). Dolls Pram Mattresses; Roma Twirl, Roma Stephanie, Roma Annie, Roma Darcie, Roma Wynnie, Roma Polly, The Ooba carrycot comes with a raincover which fits really well. It is also covered in the small Ooba leaf logs and looks great when in place. The Cosatto brand has become synonymous with creative, bouncy, colourful design lifting their products onto a different plane from most other brands out there. The Cosatto Ooba is their attempt to break into the high end pushchair market. Does is cut the mustard (or should I say Marzipan)? Find out in our Cosatto Ooba review. Chassis The Cosatto Ooba chassis has great functionality it is clear that time has been spent to ensure that it will do everything a mum (or dad) could want. It is a shame that the Ooba cannot quite meet the, admittedly, very high quality level of the other brands in this price range. Seat
