About this deal

I've known for a while now and just haven't allowed myself to think about the fact that when it comes down to it, the things that used to be important to me pale in comparison to her. Plotwise this was pretty interesting and I have nothing to say about McIntire's writing, as it's addicting as always.

The only thing that I’m annoyed is with this series is Emily has a set structure where she creates the “problem” of the book right at the end and -especially for Twisted- the epilogue just felt too soon and too rushed. When Father Cade lays eyes on Amaya, he finds himself ensnared, convinced she’s using witchcraft to lure him to her. She spends her days caring for her younger brother and her nights transforming into Esmeralda, dancing for greedy eyes and shameless lips. Goodreads Librarians are volunteers who help ensure the accuracy of information about books and authors in the Goodreads' catalog. The last 20% hyper-speeds the plot compared to the first 80% and I just wanted this to slow a little bit down and have the same or similar pace to the majority of the story even if it meant adding a few extra pages. She then discovers the forged will in her name, and she thinks about how Jeannie said that Julian was going to kill her.

I felt like some chapters were missing showing the middle transition of hate to lovers, you know the part when they start to respect each other and maybe become friends or something. This shows a real sense of passion directly on the page, as her work feels honest and genuine each and every step of the way. Better get it together, patatino, or else the people here will think you’re my daddy and not my husband.so the logical conclusion is he might probably die) - If you have an aversion or negative emotional reaction to the Death of a Parent by cancer this book might not be for you.

I really liked the characters in this story, Yasmin has spent her whole life being the dutiful daughter and to see how she grew through the book to step out of that mould and become someone who she wants to be was done soooooo well. But when his mentor falls ill, he finds himself on the verge of losing everything, and he'll stop at nothing to inherit what is rightfully his—even if it means forcing a woman he can't stand into marriage. He deems himself worthy of inheriting it because he has worked really hard for it and thinks of Yasmin as a spoiled brat! And I also didn't like how Yasmin's father did not trust her enough to leave everything to her alone! He reveals he’s waiting with Darryn Anders (the guy who’s been looking for the lamp for years and was annoyed that Julian’s people were in “his” territory. I initially gave this 4 stars because, overall, I had fun with it; but the more I let it sit, the more I thought I've waited so long to read this and yet was a little disappointed because I could hardly see any difference between this book's dark romance and the previous Never After ones. As for the smut, considering this is an Emily McIntire book, I expected so much more from the sex scenes that were presented.
